Featured Pet of the Month

My name is Mikey and here's my story:

I’m a one-year old Labrador/hound dog mix that is 40 pounds! My life hasn’t always been great, I was left at a shelter down south. But now I am in a wonderful foster home and my foster mom says soon I will get adopted. I love to snuggle on the couch on your lap. I am very food motivated so my foster mom has been teaching me tricks – sit for my food bowl, how to go in my crate, sit, shake and stay (well stay is getting better). I kind of need somebody that lays down the law, I need rules. I love to play with lots of toys – my favorites are ropes, pull toys, balls and chew toys. I prefer to play by myself, sometimes a mellow dog is fine!! I love my people and will follow you all over the house – I am kind of fun that way. I haven’t been with cats so I don’t know what I would do. I would love to come and live my happy life with you!!!

He is being fostered by a 501C3 rescue. His adoption fee is $350 which includes a general exam, rabies, distemper and bordetella shots as well as neuter and microchip. Sorry, no out of state adoptions. Serious inquiries only. To meet our dogs, we require that an application be filled out.
