Welcome to Southwest Metro Animal Rescue

Southwest Metro Animal Rescue and Adoption Society is a non-profit organization committed to the rescue of abandoned, abused and stray domestic animals. We believe the animal-human bond is strengthened through education of the public on the humane treatment of animals, pet population control and support for animal protection laws.

last chance to find a home.

Usually by the time cats and dogs reach Southwest Metro Animal Rescue, they are faced with one last chance to find a home. These animals are abandoned, stray, abused, neglected or unwanted. As frustrating as this can be, we cannot prevent animals from being surrendered or abandoned or whatever the case may be, so we focus on the next best solution, finding them a new home for life through Pet Adoption.

Thank you Southwest we found our perfect little furbaby Henry. The staff & fosters are phenomenal! Everyone is so caring and loving. We could not have asked for a better experience. Our family is complete now!

Our family adopted Finn, a Jack Russell mix of adorableness, in fall 2019. Adoption from Southwest Metro Animal Rescue was straight-forward and we could't be happier with our new little guy!
